Blogging Resumes with Memories from Rome

Planning to restart skinnyswede with a bang,
in the meantime here is some Roman junk from last month's holiday with Kirsty, first 3 days start here:
Wednesday the 4th On the way to Edinburgh Airport
Arriving late in Fiumicino, checking out the harbour
Thursday Wake up smell the palmtrees, B&B Fiumicino
Resting before busses and trains to Rome
 Well deserved wine relaxation
 Colosseo
In the evening we found ourselves a club crawl for young Brits
Free from the cage of men
Friday Recharging from the night before
 Walking to the west
 Being useless in a park
 Orto Botanico!

 Master of the palm trees

Bus service by our table in Trastevere
Kirsty found herself a treat after dinner and we called it a great Friday night in the West end.

Piano Walking

Yesterday I celebrated moving out of the flat, with new better pastures (properties) ahead..
We snuck into McDaniels, the yellow Chesterfield couches have appealed to me on many a passing, so I was happy to finally step inside and take a seat!

Dan got a job, so we took the opportunity to celebrate in an empty flat!
Which meant I was cleaning the kitchen at 6am in the morning...

Today we carried the piano from my old house to Kirsty's new one. A five minute walk, add on a piano, equals an hour and a half walk!

Now I'm out of the house and onto the Blues Bonanza Festival that starts tonight and is on this weekend, see you out there!

Going out all the time; photo-time

Moving all my stuff to Dan's today, hope we find a flat soon!
Here are some photos from Tuesday's outing with a Scottish level of drinking:
At the union: Mr Hardie!
Rhuaridh and myself!

Arrival of Paul #1
Post-union, chillin' at Euan's
Walk home!
Hope that satiated at least one part of your tongue's taste-buds!

Primavera Memories

It's not that I don't want to blog, but I'd rather maximise time on love and banter!
This summer holiday truly feels like a holiday from a childhood but with "grown-up activities" such as drinking and cooking your own potatoes.

Here's a photo of me from Spanish Elle's Street Style from Primavera Sound (end of May)
Practically the only decent photo I have from this festival, as my camera was dead at the time:
if you want to see the full image (instead of a tiny tiny miniature version)
and the Spanish description of what I am wearing: click here and flip through to number 15/20

Aberdeen & Inverness

Wednesday's Aberdeen
After having been stuck on a train for 2.5 hours on a ride that should be 1 hour, it was nice to see cute garden gnomes and Victoria Park

Lounger Dave
Path to Pizza
On our way to Dave's for pre-drinks, river-pose
Champagne bubbles
On our way to Brew Dog
Great scenery on the way!
Dan had to be rather patient...
Lion break!
In town!

In Brew Dog playing who's there!
Trashy Blonde
Then we went to two clubs, one trendy, another called Origin, they looked the same to me!
Thursday
After a breif night's sleep, we went to a closed funfair...
but an open arcade, played a 2 pence game for an hour...
Minty
Then I said tata to Dan and hello to Inverness!
Here at Leakey's bookshop/ café
The river, had dinner at The Kitchen on the other side
The den
Keep going! onto another bar!
Hootamany's
Rock n' roll!
Until we got kicked out and had to walk home!

Great to discover Scotland when everything's tiny,
no distances to travel, but new places to see!
