Keep your baby quiet

This was 6am this morning, I'm afraid it's hailing now.

This was meant to be my Broughty Ferry Beach day, where I escape to the shores to surprise Reuben! But the weather is misbehaving, from sun to hail in 60 seconds.

But, I love a good lazy day in when you can steam your face, clean your room, drink tea and eat blueberries! Sorting out practicalities takes time but it's well worth it, I loathe when childish students my own age talk about "how complicated this flat lease is" and how they "hate" signing flat contracts because "they're so complicated". Please! Stop bitching and pull your coddled self together! No one wants to know that you're still your mother's baby!

There is a party on campus this evening, on the green by the tennis courts where they're having loads of outdoorsy activities and free food, should be fun.

Now I'm going to watch Mean Girls with a face mask on and pretend that Chris and I have loads of songs prepared for the gig at the fab Doghouse tomorrow..

See you on the other side of this pizza.

New Song!

It's up on our myspace, we put it together today, all in one afternoon!
I love it! A folk-muddy indie tune! Working title is "Parted".
Check it out here!

Ice Cream & Green Olives

Ready for 'chores' in one of my flowers, Urban Outfitters tee, thrift store shirt.

When I put on my eyebrows I appear to have almost put on my face (full makeup)! Incredible. Without them I am an non-groomed hippie.

Now I am going to do the last Tesco shopping for this term since I only have a month left, and somehow I usually manage to make a £40 shopping last a month (because I eat out quite often)...

Alex is going with me in her wet hair and summer clothes. After I've stocked up on necessities I am going over to Chris to work on a new song and rehearse for out acoustic Doghouse set on Saturday!

cheers

Beauty and the Beast and Laura

Had a varied evening yesterday, quite a grand mix of things! First I went to see the musical Beauty and the Beast with Emily and Kirsty, then Kirsty and I went to celebrate Laura at the pubs and clubs...

We found the right Whitehall Theatre, finally, just around the corner from University.
We had fifteen minutes before the show so we ran to Somerfield to stock up on pasta, smoothies and cookies
A mighty view of Law Hill, one day soon I will climb to the top!
Saw a bunch of murals/"wall art" on the way

Kirsty and Emily threatening me to speed up!
Faces!
"Smile":
Outside Somerfeild, what lovely little roads
Seated inside the surprisingly large Whitehall Theatre
Eating some of Jannetta's famous ice cream during the break

Sexy wolves who were dancing around their victims and caressing them rather than hurting them really, they were a bunch of hot mamas revealing their thighs!

After the play we went to Nether Inn to meet up with Laura and her pals who where on their way out so we decided to go somewhere better.
On our way, Caird Hall below:
But we went back because Kirsty forgot her ID and we wanted blueberry cider

We went to Underground to find our birthday girl
There she was!
I prefer house parties where you can socialise and not just grope people's bums to the sound of bad pop music.
Bathroom peace!
Moonshine, as common a nightly sight as drunks in Dundee.

We went back to Seabraes and played guitar (horribly) and then had the nightly nap. Why go clubbing when more fun happens at home?

Skinny Swedish Musicians

So, I'm still home, eating peanut butter in attempt to smooth out all the blisters in my throat and inside my mouth (I wanna be 100% this evening)! This evening I'm going to see the Beauty and the Beast musical and then going to Laura's birthday party! I spotted this new track by amazing supermusician and skinny Swede Robyn! You see I don't have access to the Swedish Spotify so I have to use hypemachine or youtube!

A Hipster Cat for Me

Haha, these hipster cats hit home! Now I'm going to see if I can get myself to the library to start studying for my economics exam in 3 weeks!

Dragons & Nachos

Last night I ran to see the 3D movie How to Train Your Dragon - I started crying it was so good! It was a funny movie that portrayed almighty vikings as über fat potato-shaped people with small heads and huge beards with a Scottish accent(!) and then their kids (the next generation of vikings) had American accents(!) It was all very bewildering, entertaining and touching in the end. If you're going to see a 3D movie this year, spare yourself of Alice if you can! See this one instead!

Afterwards I dragged Kirsty to Wetherspoons and screamed for Alex (the little crazy one)
Posing outside the Tower Building.

We went to Wetherspoons at 20 to ten so had to order all courses at once, the starter, the main and dessert..
Dinnertime stories:
Alex 'the little crazy one' Young
Izzy 'I'm Swedish but I have an American accent' M-king

Kirsty 'a taxi driver's babbling nightmare' Logan

A tricycle of kittens (because no-one's the third wheel!)
3D
Ended the night with downing a jug of WooWoo and Blue Lagoon and then went back to Seabraes for a laugh (/snooze).

Glasgow Photos

@ the Holiday Inn in Glasgow
Chewing gum and watching Outnumbered, a show with the best sarcastic sense of humour!
Tip of the day: don't go to the gym when you're recovering from being sick...

Here are photos from Saturday (didn't take any on Sunday), the artistic standards of some shots were compromised by me feeling ill...
Sleepy orange-nose on the train
In Glasgow! After some pubgrub and cider we hit the town!

Our hotel was just north of the river...
We put on our faces and went to see Fuck Buttons at the Arches!

It was warm outside even at night, the summer heat!
Fuck Buttons:

The Arches, at the bar

Blueberry mojito that went from horrible to yummy with just a little bit of extra sugar. No need for the waitress to be such a bitch!
Back in the hotel for some sleep!
