immature/ just ripe

I hate how some people can think you're a mature person and then another perceives you as a little baby-pink girl. A guy I met yesterday said that "isn't it cool how a man and woman can get together create something" (kids). Ew, no my friend just had an abortion, babies are horrible.

And this thing about financial independence or legal independence overall, is something I strongly correlate to level of maturity. How much you depend on your family for housing, how much your life circles around them, basically the less strings, the more secure you are in yourself. Obviously this is not true for all, but man up and get your own place if you're really that much of a grown up, is what I say.

I am not a grown up, scrounging off of others to live the life I want.

Leaving London for Guilford ASAP

All this fucking drama.
Because people can't be honest and pretend to be "nice"??
Sorry for being such an inconvenience. Not coming back here again, I don't like to be accused of being the most horrible person in the world all the time!

Packingggggggggg. In all honesty I just want to go home. In all honesty I wish people couldn't lie about who they really are.

Memory Lane: Tuesday's Acoustic Set at Duke's

At Duke's Corner, Chris and I supported Spectral Cat with an acoustic set (we even played Perfect Day):

Memory Lane: last week in Perth

I went to lovely Perth last Saturday-Sunday with Kirsty to say hello
to her mum, dad, auntie, grandma, brother, sisters and doggy Sooty!

A pitcher before the night begins:

Thoughts on London so far

So, it's a lovely rainy London Saturday, not been up to much today but I'm heading into town soon!

I have almost adjusted to the quite aggressive London attitude. Yes, people are polite, but glance at them walking by, and they'll give you the look of death!

When I arrived Thursday night I was tired and bored from snapping pictures on the train!
Yesterday noon I went in to Covent Garden to meet up with Jelena and Michelle (who I have not seen for a year!) and co.
Ended up tagging along with Michelle and her friends Charlotte and Mr X (so bad with names..)
And downing a few (or six) cocktails during happy hour at Be@One in Piccadilly Circus.
Then I went home because the others were heading to the Swedish Mafia DJ set, and instead tagged along to a birthday party. I was feeling ill so it was quite annoying when my friend got caught with class C drugs, had to spend the night in the cell, subsequently I took a cab home from East to West, not knowing what busses to take...

Dodgy Druggies!
Alright I'm starving, going for lunch

Here are photos from the train ride,

Last Day Tomorrow

Hopefully you'll forgive me for bad blogging. Will not post pictures til I'm in London (Thursday night)

Tinnitus is bursting my ears! I've been packing all day long, but not done yet! Had a successful gig at Duke's Corner supporting the lovely people in Spectral Cat. We played Perfect Day by the best artist of all time, Lou Reed! Then we went to skint. I found out I guy I like a bit just got a girlfriend... so I went from being in a great mood to depressed mood... but I met loads of people that I knew at the Union so that was great, planned a day out in St Andrews with Reuben, Sean and Erin! and seeing the Degree Show in the afternoon with Laura and Chris! Then hitting Lorna's birthday party, or just packing since I still haven't finished..

Feels so weird and sad to be leaving Dundee for three or so months... and going to London on Thurday for a southern UK tour to see all my good ol' BFF's, Karma, Filippa, Nina! Love!

Goodnight, now hopefully my pizza from the fridge leftovers is ready so I can watch CSI:Miami

What the Future Bears is Uncertain

Woa Woa. I'm going to the gym and then to practice with Chris and then to help Kirsty pack.
I need out send out the songs for our potential new drummer, which means trying to milk them off Chris which can be a hard task when Chris can be a slow cow sometimes! Also in the midst of this I need to send mass emails with CVs to all sorts of Scandinavian employers.
And pack up, carry stuff bit by bit.

Going to burn some fat I'll be back!
Hopefully this will pump a great flow of blood to my brain.
I'm not looking forward to this big musical break and missing people, I love the peeps here in Scotland! Kirsty I will cry you a river. Three or so months apart from your wife is no fun!!

I want to go and explore the world on a long trip to New York in the summertime or some nice place with crevasses that I can swim in or surfing in a far off land! Will my summer take me to any of these places? Why not.

Gym now

Back from Gig at Dexter's!

Back from the gig supporting Arcadian Kicks who didn't 'support' us.
Weren't there for our show so embarrassingly enough one of the girls from the band complimented me for my dress, said she had seen me earlier that day and thought so, and "what a coincidence" to see me here. I responded with shouting "singer of Kings and Cowards!!!!!" Man embarrassing (!!!) since the crowd had just seen us on stage.....
But in the end they were nice peeps, they apologised and we ended up friendly-chatting.

Then Paul walked me home I grabbed Dirty Dancing and snoozed through the whole thing at Emily's flat in Kirsty's lap.

Wearing a hat from New Look and Dress from Topshop, bought in Perth today!
Had a lovely day in Perth city today, Kirsty has my camera at the moment, so I'll try to post them tomorrow.

Going to St. Andrews tomorrow and having a jam at Stage 2000 with drummer Ken!
Goodnight Goodnight

A Trip to Perth

The weather is ridiculously sunny and hot, we have band practice right about now (I'd rather be outside eating a nice chicken filet and drinking ginger beer) , then I'm going to Perth with Kirsty, meeting up with Sam and staying at Kirsty's lovely house in the countryside! Rehab before the big gig tomorrow!

Sweat and Rap

Yesterday I met up with Annuka to have some Chinese food and then go to the Degree Show that we thought started at 8. Yeah it didn't we ended up missing it but went to the Degree Show Party at the Union. Had a fun night, was home at 6am, yeah long party sessions lately.

At Magdalen Green eating Chinese

The crowd was moving out of the show when we got there
And they moved across to the other side of the street (Art Bar)

At the Union warming up with some Hulk juice

We went to the Hub where the party had left for the Union:
kiddy pool of booze:
So Dale and Reuben played us some bluesy music

Then we back to Bass Orgy to get sweaty, very sweaty:

After Bass Orgy, we went to the 24hr Bakery
And then to an afterparty that had pretty much died

The morning walk home
