A Walk in the Park

The story of our Western lives!
Finally I'm going to improve on my picking skills, my guitar deserves it.
Motivational listening: Mumford and Sons.
Thanks for the 'CD,' Kirsten!

In the Dark Room

Frederick Tirmarche

Frederick Tirmarche It's always better to accept the fact that you are not appreciated, than to insist yourself to someone who never sees your worth.

i don't agree! the person probably does see your worth but feels inferior to it and therefore not worthy of your worth! :P Hence why they act the way they do.
Tru dat!

That's too optimistic. Be realistic, the world is that way, we're all competing :P

not optimistic, probably a more psychological approach than the trite cliché above ;)

Death Wish

Which colour should I choose?

Really not feelin' it today.

Well, looking at cameras instead of food,
I'll settle for a small standard Fujifilm Z35.

Time for Shades

'Stuck up bitch'-look

Dundee is sunny today, toO bad I haven't a camera to show you how beautiful it all really is!
I've paid my fees and now I am 2000 quid poorer. Feels good to feel alive. At least I still look wealthy.
Taking it easy this weekend, having a drink or two, studying for the perfect score.

Got tickets for Master Melking

Yes, I've bought tickets for Grizzly Bear and Beach House in that name. They're playing in Edinburgh at Queen's Hall on the 9th of March!

Excited!

Plus our band, Kings and Cowards are playing our first live set at Chambers the 24th of February!

Now I'm just going to kick it with my hot cocoa in the company of Kirsten and Lizzy watching Run Fatboy Run!

KissCous

My class seems dull, my life does too.

Last night I dreamt that snot was coming out of my teeth. I am not looking forward to economics classes commencing. Seems like a slow death from the look of future lecture notes. At least my two other modules are good, Accounting and Psychology. And thank god for music. This song has kept me happy for the past three days:

Indie Indians

Last night at the union, Kirsten and I were looking our best, the indie kids that we are.
Boys have all the power here knowing that everyone around them's up for a shag.
I bumped in to my fellow coursemate Kirsty!
"You look good"
"You look better"

I made my early accounting class, soon I'll head off to Psychology.
I need aspirin.

P.S. There was one good looking guy on the dance floor,
my friend tells me he's gay.
I need to get a gaydar.

Viv's Birthday Party!

Heading off to Viv's B-day Party. This is what we look like:

I'm wearing my happy shoes because these are happy times!
Kirsten stole Lizzie 'Hagrid' Peace's headband

Kiss Kiss!

Support the Rainforest!?

I'd rather buy cupcakes for Haiti,
but I won't say no to supporting the rainforest in this late age if it leaves me with a buttercream cupcake, buttscotch marshmallow square and half a loaf of bananabread.
I love charity work!

I am going for a walk in the hills!

Lochee Park is next up!
Just hitting the shower, then out to the freshness of air.
I am growing tired of Dundee, but fonder of my long distance relationship with Regina!
Whoever denies you a long distance relationship is lazy and doesn't love you. "Truth hurts".

Hey, tryin' to build a life here!

Eating chilli chocalate and wasabi nuts. (in dire need of hair maintenance, colouring roots...)

Woke up early for a 9 am accounting class. I'm thinking of 'upgrading' my degree in International Business to a Master's degree! I've found out I can get a Master's degree in the same amount of time as this Bachelor degree, so why not? I like a challenge.

Upgrading my CV for business related jobs this summer. I might need to upgrade my photo too, now that I look so much older (what's happening to me?!). I was thinking something in the style of this:
Maybe when I've brushed my hair and put on a shirt.
The smile's a keeper.

Bristol in the Summertime, August 2009.

I'm back from Edinburgh (took a short trip to say goodbye to my guest). No more fucking Blues.

I'm a Million Years Older

The old hag:

Bought a couple of ales and they didn't ID me.
I'm visibly getting older and I'm about to eat haggis.
Is this the end?

I've bought a new guitar!

Ann Summer's party last weekend. A tribute to Kirsten!

Yes, today I finally got rid of that horrible £35 3/4 guitar and acquired a brand new one! Got £25 for the old one and so got the new guitar cheaper. 'High quality man, high quality' - the first phrase I learnt in Dundee with a heavy Scottish accent is what best summarises this exchange of guitars.

Haven't been able to play it much since my guest is a better guitar player than I am, so he keeps stealing it.

Today we got free food in the Seabraes common area, and I had awkward conversation with the host Annabelle.

Tomorrow I will claim my free pizza at the 'Refresher's Fayre'. Ahh the greatest things in life are free.

I don't yet have a camera, because I'm waiting for some money, when I get it I will snap photos in every relevant second of my life for you to enjoy.

I have a hyperbolic tone today because I don't want to think about anything other than happiness.

Having a guest for the weekend

London is coming to me for a change! Very happy, they'll be here in less than an hour.

I want to go to Weatherspoon's to eat and drink beer, and then I'll think we'll head off to Chambers, where "Goom" are playing their last gig. Free entry, cheap beer, and Chris, fellow band mate is also playing.

Back to cleaning my room!

Back in Class

Classes started yesterday,
most of my Non-Specialist Accounting classes are early.. and it's not exactly light, fuzzy, cozy stuff - like a blanket - that you'ld want at 9am in the morning. But we're a small class, so it should be alright.

Then I got to see what my Economics class was like - strict but good teacher. Good news is I won't need to attend the next 5 classes since they're on basic maths skills.

Went to the gym yesterday and hopefully I'll have time to fit in a class of "Sleek Physique" before class.

Tonight will be smashing - band practice, party in West Park, skint at the union.

Kudos to Kirsten!

Smelly Belly

Been sweating at the gym. I hadn't eaten breakfast beforehand so my stomach started growling, people next to me on the cross-trainer shot me weird looks - I'm not anorexic!

Now I'm going to loan my course books before classes start - People are stupid and don't look in the course outline, most wait for lecturers to tell them what books to get.

Tonight a pub quiz awaits at the Union!

Sunny Dundee

Feels good to be away from the parental restraint! But they still manage to seep in there somehow, don't they? Even though we're nowhere near legally binding anymore. You have to pay your dues for being born all though they're the ones who wanted you in the first place.
- Just an observation...

The sun is bursting through my window, I'm gonna hit the gym, make my body trim, even the talk of a 'chip buddy' scares me a little - carbs on carbs? I just don't get it.

Post-Ann Summers Party

Too many sex games and raunchy underwear displays later...

Back in Dundee after a Spectacular Night in Malmo

(I fell asleep on the train). Finally, I'm back. School starts monday. The party will continue this evening at cocktail bar Templelane.

Had a blast with Regina yesterday, for the first time ever we were deemed very approachable in 'the land of Små Grodorna'. Regina got a surprising kiss on the lips. Geeky stalker type in glasses - yum.
Never been hit on in Sweden before, thought this only happened in the US or the UK. (I choose to simply ignore the Middle East)

Nap time!

Today is F-ing Busy

I'll spend the day saying goodbye to remains of the fish soup and my fancy temporary cellular phone.
Back to the UK, back to skype phone-standard living.

Saying goodbye to Scandinavia. Having 'Christmas dinner' at six. I predict paper presents (they pay for the product/service written on the paper). Then hitting Malmö to party hard with Regina! Flight to the Scottish capital leaves early tomorrow.
No sleep 'til DEE.

Yesterday's Copenhagen

Reunion with Claudia!
She taught me tricks of wayfinding and train smuggling.

We went to 'Opera' to enjoy their plastic couches

Gangsta rap!
Some indie basement near Radhuspladsen, bands were playing 'Country Punk'

Fish Soup

Alexandra and I made our own twisted fish soup, very tastey indeed. Key ingredients - chili pepper, sea salt, potatoes, broccoli, turnip, carrots...

Tomorrow I am heading to Copenhagen to visit a friend from the era of 'N-balls' and movie nights

Now I am exhausted, going to bed, sipping on cactus/lime/apple juice.

Goodnight

Picture-barf below circa 2006(!)

'The Dictionary' and I.

Nina and an oversized N-ball.

James sitting infront of the telly whilst we're trying to fix the sound system.

Yesterday's Wiener

Beer sausages and Czech lager.

Browsing pots and pans and plastic surgery!
