Hey, Hey, Modern Civilised People!

I have been avoiding the computer until now on this lovely day because I've been... studying! It is becoming a rather one dimensional activity at the moment. All I want to do is go out and have beer and nachos at Wetherspoon's or sit beneath the sun sipping some tasty cider (not Kopparbergs or Magners) (I long for Somersby), have picnics, eat, go to gigs, art shows - you name it! That is why I feel a little trapped inside this body at the moment.

I have been good today, bought myself some new lined notebooks and pens for a fresh take on Accounting (because it's like an arctic sea breeze).. I allowed myself a short half hour shopping break before the shops closed, I bought a dress and some nail polish, and I've been slipping down hill ever since, because I realised how far down studying is on the list of "fun". Lovely Lizzie finally came back from Belfast today via the ferry - we're all living in developing countries now!

I had fun yesterday! Let's reminisce upon that! We had band practice and we've now made a rough(!) recording of the new song. I've been polishing the lyrics today, and I now have the perfect title for it - Fake Fur! You see, it's about a pretentious indie kid who thinks he's all that when in fact he's no more than a rat. It will be on the EP out next month! Kings and Cowards also have some gigs on the line, check our myspace for updates! (Uploading a bunch of photos as "we speak")

After this Chris and I had many a pints and a lovely time at Speedwell! Hot bartender wasn't working this night... Then we went back to the flat and listened to many good things including MGMT's new album!

Goodnight, tomorrow I'm getting up early to meet Kirsty at the library at 08:30! Feels like highschool.

Kirsty and I two nights ago at Speedwell, haven't met up today, miss her already!

Womanly Women - How I Hate You!

Something that me and my friend have been discussing is womanly women. I brought it up first because I sort of envy this girl (but not really) because her guy is really attracted to her and it's explicitly noticeable on facebook - all because of the whole "I am an ultrafeminine womanly woman"-speil. It's not even really about the fact the they only wear tight skimpy bodycon dresses with a waist and boob defining belt - which by the way, the thought of wearing makes me sick - it's more that you can see they've adjusted their behaviour as well - oh no I can't hold anything other than a rose because a bag is too heavy.

I HATE WOMANLY WOMEN AND THEIR PINK WELLINGTON BOOTS!

I myself could dress like this because I have the same props to work with but I don't want to walk around feeling nauseous all day so I think I'll stick to my baggy band t-shirts and be the occasional American Apparel-skank, thank you very much!

Goodnight.

P.S. Even Pink looks girly and curvy in a tight pink flowery belted dress...

Tuesday

I didn't go to the St Vincent and Grizzly Bear concert in Glasgow! I was on my way to the train station, but then ran into José. I'm sad and don't want to be alone, especially not in Glasgow, raped by junkies. So went back to his and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's and played Bioshock on his PS3. Amazing! Apart for the gaming section, where I'm too scared to play, but so great to watch with the quality of the picture being enchanced by the the PS3 and the full HD TV. He just purchased a flatscreen, the bastard. Poor student.

Now I have woken up from crashing at one yesterday. Singing in a shaky voice. Apparently I'm jamming today with some music people. Hope my voice doesn't quake and quiver too much.
