Rock It

D-izz-uka! Dan, Izzy and Annuka (join us on facebook!!)

I love Dizzuka!

Enterprise Gym is going well, our idea is fun, studying is not going awesomely with this much music and extracurricular on my plate.

Wipe Out Festival this Thursday was amazing! Dizzuka, we made our debut on stage, good vibes from the crowd, great feedback afterwards!

Kings and Cowards managed to rock it without Chris, the father and rhythm guitarist of the band, I am impressed with our skilled, headbanging like no tomorrow and got hats, sunglasses and a sweater thrown on stage (albeit from familiar faces)!!

Here are pics from the festival:

Now I'm off to party again with Annukababe :-D
If every night is this epic, I don't know how Halloween will live up to it! :-D

Too Cool for School

Pimpin at Monday's Houseparty with Gav and Paul! (photo Mandi T)

Yeah I wish! At least I am having fun but having trouble coordinating the academic side of things with an awesome time! Today I woke up late and had lunch at Wetherspoons with Kirsty and Chris. Psyched about Wipe Out Festival tomorrow (both my bands are performing!!) but at the same time how the 'flip' will there be time for studies....

Oh well go Kings & Cowards and Dizzuka!

Piss Up Revival

I have not been home since Thursday morning... I have been staying at Kirsty's! We are practically married! I am the wife. This weekend has been amazing!

We finished the horrific psychology essay on Friday after pulling an all-nighter, fell asleep to Wedding Date and chocolate mousse, there was no holding back, we had to say "he is so hot" every 30 seconds the gigolo appeared in the shot.

On Saturday I went to Ken's and we pretty much wrote 3 songs! Cool! Good that Ken is a musical genius and that I am a pervert so I can write lyrics quickly. After this we all crashed a house party (but not Ken because he was playing at a Christian Church for Kool Kids) and stormed the union. Tequila.

What a relaxing evening. I think all the head massaging and nipple erecting did some good! "Sad but true" to quote Kirsty's reaction to this skein of sexually frustrated friends gathered all at once.

Today has been awesome. We just had a day of slobby guitar playing and an evening at Wetherspoon's and DCA seeing Ben Affleck's The Town!! Go see it now!
Now I'm off to Annuka's for more movies!

P.S. Here are some awesome photos from the Battle of the Bands finals:

And here are some from yesterday!!

Chillin with Kirsty!

Crazy girls

Chill night no 1 in quite a while!
We stayed up all night like crazy buffoons pacing around in our heads listening to classical music and a hot guy's Spotify-tunes. We felt like collapsing but made it in the end albeit a haphazardly rushed end to it all - we get no late penalties!

My brain feels like a juicy sour cherry lollipop with a bubble gum inside, and my body, I have to pinch to stay awake.

Now off to watch girlie movies and eat chocolate mousse!
/see you when I'm in the ballpark again

Holland Daze - she mends bikes

October so far has been stressful. Not one night chilling at home. Just hitting the night or the library or music. I am a grown-up complaining about never having enough time to themselves, the difference is my chill-time is non-existent. Grown-ups don't have this much homework nor a social calendar quite as plump - they're too old for that shit. Thankfully I am still young.
I need to get back to essay writing...

Today I have studied, worked on my bike at the Recycling Centre, had awesome Dizzuka- band practice and we have now written our first song! It's called 'Holland Daze' and the chorus is "Every time she throws up" It sounds really good the way it's sung! Catch my two bands Dizzuka and Kings & Cowards at WIPEOUT FESTIVAL 28th of October.
Tomorrow yet another K&C gig awaits - at Hustlers! See you there!
/Peace
I am hungry.

Flatwarming, Absinthe is "undrinkable".

Stressball

Ah! I have got a lot of things to juggle, and it doesn't help that I'm bad at it and can't say no to yet another ball thrown in the cycle..

Well I was at the economics rep meeting. Awkward, because the other year 2 class representatives were absent and the guy leading the meeting was intimidatingly hot.
Better get back to studying! Deadlines! Parties! If you do more of one, you've got to do more of the other to make up for it - equilibrium. Opportunity cost: sleep and health.

We didn't win battle of the bands... but we got a hella lot of new fans, contacts, promotion and gig opportunities!
From Monday's heat:

Oh there goes gravity!

Michelle has gone back to Sweden,
now I don't have an excuse not to do homework skip a class or two anymore!
I don't want to face reality. But reading a chapter on Feminism in the Workplace (Management homework) sounds okay to me.

It's a pile of work that's entrenching me into a cycle of laziness.

I just want to shop and eat starters, mains, dessert every day.
Casual drinking, socialising and listening to music.

Hope I don't slip any deeper into this rock star dream. I blame my parents.

We got through to the finals!!!

We're though to the finals in Battle of the Bands!!
Come see us in the final heat on Sunday at Dexters!!!
Most fun ever.
This is happiness!

Icky Sicky

Egh I am going to spoon peanut butter and drink tea today.
Need to sparkle and shine for battle of the bands tonight!

I need sleep or else I collapse. Sleeping is nice. Do it more often!

I've had too much fun

Snaps of the weekend - October so far:
RAIN and cheesy bacon potato chicken, GUINNESS, absinthe, jamming, NACHOS

My voice is deteriorating I should have done my reading earlier!!

And it's battle of the bands tomorrow!

We stayed up all night after an awesome albeit dramatic house-party, listening to classic rock and watching Zep/Kubrick video clips. It was like pyjama party number one-dream come true! And when the sun was about to rise Melody and I ran up to Law Hill to see it (lazy people stayed behind), but the sky was grey so we only saw a hint of orange. It was a good walk and I have stayed indoors ever since. Six of us crazy kids just chillin' like the villains we imagine ourselves to be, cuddling up watching Gossip Girl eating cup-a-soup and toast, croissants and berries.

i must study ouch my voice

Life is Awesome

September has been great! October has a lot to live up to.
Chillin in Sweden with my villains
I became VP for DUBS, here on the pubcrawl
Surf club initiations hide away surf injury with make up and alcohol

Trying out circus club, impressive, but I don't like hitting myself in the face 24/7
Absolutely spectacular gig at Dexters, won a FOR t-shirt for best dancing in the crowd!

A lot of jamming and singing in the midnight hour, here at Mansion of Dreams:
We played a few open mic sets, here at Art Bar

This Thursday's Open Mic at the Union, Michelle flew over from Sweden:
