Too Cool for School

Pimpin at Monday's Houseparty with Gav and Paul! (photo Mandi T)

Yeah I wish! At least I am having fun but having trouble coordinating the academic side of things with an awesome time! Today I woke up late and had lunch at Wetherspoons with Kirsty and Chris. Psyched about Wipe Out Festival tomorrow (both my bands are performing!!) but at the same time how the 'flip' will there be time for studies....

Oh well go Kings & Cowards and Dizzuka!

Dusty Eyes and a Dirty Mind

Ahh, I just spoke to Chris this evening (over the phone) about love, lust and desire for better things. Some parts he didn't want to hear about, but I told him anyway! The only way to release steam is to let it out! If you've got an extra ear in your periphery, let it all hang loose is my philosophy - I have enjoyed this fake-free day. Tomorrow, let's bring on the phoney smiles! Working the flagship store in 4.5 inch platforms and then dining with the family at Ripe Tomato.
Looking forward to living life with a temporary silver lining.

Today I have trekked around in Notting Hill and consumed 4 discs of the L-word. My eye infection is wanting to resurface but I won't let it, sleep shall be my cure as I can't afford a nutritious diet at the moment.

Oh, I fall to sleep peacefully with the roof terrace view instilled on my retina: (fresh baby-pic, recharged my camera)
Goodnight!
Will be dreaming of Findhorn Beach with the band and Copenhagen with Nina, two seperate vacations I need to squeeze into this summer

Gig at Hustlers

To sum it all up - we were on first and it was pretty dead, poor Chris was on first with barely anyone up at the front. I introduced us as 2/3 of Kings and Cowards, haha, boy did this slip-up annoy Gavin and Paul! So I quickly corrected myself "2/5" and apologised... Chris was having a bit of an off-day which was understandable considering the circumstances. Although the performance wasn't too enjoyable and the sound quality at Hustler's is rather poor and Hustler's don't give out any riders(!), it was an enjoyable evening! We got to see the great Feelfree Conspiracy and the incredible Eat Dr. Ape (who were launching their CD)!

After the manager claimed that "riders are illegal" we went to Tesco and found ourselves an alleyway beside a big parking-lot...

So tempted to steal these hooker heels!
Chris performing:
The annoying smoke machine which made loud noises,
not ideal for an acoustic set...

Gavin took these photos of us performing...

Band whose name I don't remember, note the lyric book on the chair and the topless drummer (it wasn't even warm on stage)!
Feelfree Conspiracy pulled off an amazing gig:

No monkeying about when Eat Dr. Ape are on, they are so tight!
The smoke machine worked for Eat Dr. Apes beautifully loud set

Ice Cream & Green Olives

Ready for 'chores' in one of my flowers, Urban Outfitters tee, thrift store shirt.

When I put on my eyebrows I appear to have almost put on my face (full makeup)! Incredible. Without them I am an non-groomed hippie.

Now I am going to do the last Tesco shopping for this term since I only have a month left, and somehow I usually manage to make a £40 shopping last a month (because I eat out quite often)...

Alex is going with me in her wet hair and summer clothes. After I've stocked up on necessities I am going over to Chris to work on a new song and rehearse for out acoustic Doghouse set on Saturday!

cheers

The Father of Band & Glass Doors & Cheap Cider

Last Saturday I convinced Chris to stay at the pub by saying that I would give him a scone worth £1.30, meaning that a pint would only cost him 70p, meaning that it would be the same as buying it in an Offie. I also asked him questions about his girlfriend who he loves too much. It took him an hour to leave and go back home to continue his essay.

Did I mention Christian aka the father of the band just got a blog? Check it out and let the Blog Wars begin! I hope he'll write about when he goes to the zoo with his girlfriend. I too want to know what a Shetland pony looks like in Dundee!

P.S. he walked into a glass door yesterday because he was running to catch up/surprise me as I walked out the pub.

Tinnitus

One month gig anniversary at Chambers - 5th gig. Photos taken by Laura using my cam.

The gig today went well - better then Monday, but we barely anyone was there, because they left after the third band when I put on Beach House. Dear, is Beach House the reason to all this? We're going to rock our socks off at Dexter's on the 4th of April.
