Artsy Fartsy vs Violent Apathy

Came home from town, here's my fancy schmancy outfit I was wearing:

Aphex Twin?

Tomorrow we're going to Louisiana (in Denmark) to check out the ace exhibitions and eat really healthy museum food. Last time I was there everything had a low GI-index and it was all fresh spinach and arugula (I just learned a new word in English! The other day I learnt Jerusalem artichoke - yeah most British folk probably don't know what that is, avoiding crazy healthy vegetables as they do)! And you're wondering why Scandinavians tend to be more fit than Dundonians! Yeah only eat food that will do something good for you and your body.
Fish and chips = not the answer.

I want to go cross country skiing before the snow disappears! It's scary though. My mom's good at it, but we only have one pair so it's all a transfer of theoretical knowledge! Soon I'll be testing the slopes in the Swiss Alps - hey, alpine skiing I can actually do!

Anyway, this evening my eyes were burning, maybe from last night or maybe because I'm not exercising enough! I walk to and fro the pub though. It was quite cool but there were distractions other than an eye on fire: adhering to bathroom girl-code (which means: forced in the room with someone you don't know well enough), and pervs that call you shy but really you just don't want to talk to them or look at them at all.

I was fairly pleased with the decision of not going to the nightclub Tempel. Save it for Saturday.
But I got dressed up and that, I was wearing a tight Karen Millen dress after stuffing my face with tacos, it was uncomfortable since that dress is so tight it makes you feel full on its own accord.

Let's go to bed! Goodnight!

Beer Time

Yesterday's pub time met up with my childhood neighbour first:
Stella in the blonde. Emma in the brown, Johanna the redhead.

Mike:
Then we went to Utposten with Maja and co.
Old school friends and met Maja's British boyfriend!

Maja Miss Business Woman, Chris and Mike:
Old, old school mates,
Gustav (who studies in Uppsala and Jenny in New York)

Then we had to leave as the pub closed at 1,
the lovely couple walked and myself walked home
It started snowing again!

Swedish New Years

Nina and I met up with James and Rolle to grab a drink at James that his Grandma offered us. James failed at drinking liquer so gave half and half to Nina and myself..
We ran outside to watch £350 worth of fireworks let loose

Crazies lit fireworks in their hand so they blew up within a metre of people on two occasions..

Cuban cigars were lit to celebrate the new year

James and Axel feeling "manly"
This temporary testament of manliness would prove to cause James to pass out an hour later:
And after we went to Tim's party, Nina and I were quite sober from the cold:
We tried to take control of the music but still mostly metal and Scanian anthems were played
Dancing to the anthems
Ecstatic to be sheltered from the storm but not appreciating sharing blankets with strangers
in the end we collapsed to South Park and felt quite un-Swedish amongst all the others

Urban Suburbia

Today has been spent lazying about watching La haine (Hatred), drinking green tea, eating porridge, and sketching EP ideas (well the early morning). Nina is helping out (she studies drawing at Westminster) which is great because I don't love the "concept" Christian's come up with. I'm not into tacky geeky-lego covers.

In the evening, we met up with Glenn (our old art teacher) for some pints at Gyllene Praag once again. I had a Czech beer saugage-thing on the side which is a "typical Czech beer snack" apparently. I will know once I'm in Czechoslovakia, thank you very much. We concluded that women can't afford to be unattractive, they make sure to stay fit, it's pre-natively programmed as well as a necessity to climb on top of the competition and avoid social ostracism.

Then I walked back to my home in Urban Suburbia.

Memory Lane: Tuesday's Acoustic Set at Duke's

At Duke's Corner, Chris and I supported Spectral Cat with an acoustic set (we even played Perfect Day):
