100% Salt and Endorphins

I'm pretty sure it was the dodgy sausage roll that I had on Friday that caused all this ruckus.

I had my Accounting exam this morning at nine, felt it went rather well. I wore my velour PJ bottoms just incase of stomach pains. Ridiculous. Won't walk around like that on any given day.

Afterward the exam, when I realised I was pretty much back to normal I changed into rather short flared pleated A-line skirt with a floral pattern pinching the waist. I decided to pair this with brown knee high stocking and THAT WAS IT. Then it's windy outside. It's been warm today, so the possibility of my skirt flying up made me sweat even more...
If ever I dare to go 'bare-thighed' again, I don't know!

Anyway, just back from the step and sculpt class at the gym, not the best idea for recovery.
But nachos at Wetherspoon's is!
Hopping into the shower then going there.

It feels good to feel good!!!!

I feel like crack cocaine

Yesterday and today in Glasgow was good, gig was great and shopping was good but I've got a stomach bug that's been bugging me for two days now, nausea and sharp abdominal pain is what I have and still am enduring. Luckily there's "Anadin" which contains 300 mg of Aspirin, 200 mg of Paracetamol and 45 mg of caffiene per tablet. If I take two I can feel the convulsion in my stomach but not the pain!

I have my accounting exam 9.15 tomorrow morning. I bloody well be better by then. It's ashame that I've not been able to study today, would've liked an extra day or two!

Pictures up tomorrow or as soon as I feel better...

Kirsty Gets Jealous

And forces Ikra to go overboard!

Squeezing Time from the Books

Kirsty's hand, elbow and me! Then my arm in the last two. Ikra knows her stuff!

And ink out of a pen onto Kirsty's hand, Ikra sure knows the art of mock henna tattoos!
One more hour of studying then we're going to GLASGOW! We're staying on the North side of the river, thank god!

The Recess Blog

Kirsty and I have a lot of fun studying together especially during study breaks. We wine and dine each other, eat ice-cream, preferably drink ginger beer, go shopping, the lot! Here's some of that fun:

Yesterday's shopping, matching H&M bags:

On my shirt and leather trousers: (lemon sorbet)

In a dumpster: (broken car windows and a banana peel)
On the steps: (Kirsty)

Hair is not always beautiful, but it sure can hide a face.
Today's Accounting trance
Post-powernap, Kirsty had to snap one:
Our evening 'picnic' with all the trimmings.

Goodnight! I'm an early bird tomorrow

Gaelic is the New Black

I spent about half an hour trying to persuade Kirsty to say "the Scottish Government" in Gaelic. She won't speak it because only 'old and sad unsuccessful' people do. Gaelic is amazing, Lord of the Ring-Irish!

Library Rat

I can't take this bracelet off by myself.. Leather punk from Swedish designers David&Martin.

I've been in the library from 08:30 til closing (10pm) today. I've not had eye makeup on for two weeks, it's refreshing (but bear in mind I don't look refreshed). This is why I have imagined that I look so much older than I did last year - it's because I don't spend an hour on immaculate make up, more like next to none...

It's been raining today so my hair doesn't look too great. But it's been a fun and very productive day. Kirsty and I had lunch at the Parlour in town, had carrot beetroot soup, a falafel salad wrap each and a carrot cake to share. What can I say - skinny-genes!

Tomorrow I'm going for a jog and then meeting up at the library again from 8:30am-4:30pm.
We're going to Glasgow (and hoping to run into Jennie) to see Fuck Buttons at the Arches, and we're spending the night at Holiday Inn!

Study Blog

At the library, tearing this place apart til closing (midnight).
We went for a "study break" earlier, had delicious lunch at Braes! Then we hit the town, I returned the dress I bought yesterday, and instead bought a lot of other clothes... A new skirt, dress, studded waist belt, flowers to put in hair, a lovely beaded hippie hair band and übercool blue pop shades! Kirsty bought a dress and a belt but she never showed me what it looked like on, so I don't really know what to think of it. Then had we sorbet (fat free!!) Marble Slab. Overpriced bollocks. Post pictures of fun times later, now we're back to studying. Ta!
Enjoy the heroin-chic look below, at least alluding to thinness:

Let the Sun Seep Into My Soul

Today my eyes are killing me and I feel like a baby troll.
It's really sunny today and Reuben's tempting me with a beach in Broughty Ferry.
I must say no, but really all I wanna do is go!

Hey, Hey, Modern Civilised People!

I have been avoiding the computer until now on this lovely day because I've been... studying! It is becoming a rather one dimensional activity at the moment. All I want to do is go out and have beer and nachos at Wetherspoon's or sit beneath the sun sipping some tasty cider (not Kopparbergs or Magners) (I long for Somersby), have picnics, eat, go to gigs, art shows - you name it! That is why I feel a little trapped inside this body at the moment.

I have been good today, bought myself some new lined notebooks and pens for a fresh take on Accounting (because it's like an arctic sea breeze).. I allowed myself a short half hour shopping break before the shops closed, I bought a dress and some nail polish, and I've been slipping down hill ever since, because I realised how far down studying is on the list of "fun". Lovely Lizzie finally came back from Belfast today via the ferry - we're all living in developing countries now!

I had fun yesterday! Let's reminisce upon that! We had band practice and we've now made a rough(!) recording of the new song. I've been polishing the lyrics today, and I now have the perfect title for it - Fake Fur! You see, it's about a pretentious indie kid who thinks he's all that when in fact he's no more than a rat. It will be on the EP out next month! Kings and Cowards also have some gigs on the line, check our myspace for updates! (Uploading a bunch of photos as "we speak")

After this Chris and I had many a pints and a lovely time at Speedwell! Hot bartender wasn't working this night... Then we went back to the flat and listened to many good things including MGMT's new album!

Goodnight, tomorrow I'm getting up early to meet Kirsty at the library at 08:30! Feels like highschool.

Kirsty and I two nights ago at Speedwell, haven't met up today, miss her already!

A healthy lifestyle is key to successful studying

or well on the way! Who can study when they feel like crap eating chocolate bars and drinking coke all day? (EWW) Not me!

Yesterday after studying I went to Sleek Physique class and then afterwards met up with Kirsty in the gym. Man were we tight! Felt like a spindly baby chick afterwards! We of course went to Wetherspoon's for some nachos and then had a burger and some amazing ginger beer - after an intense gym session this doesn't fill you up, believe it or not!

So we went home to mine and had some very interesting conversations (imagine how attractive we would be in say, India, like a 10+! But then again would you want these creeps perving on you? And we'd be considered sluts since we wear bright colours (read: turquoise Doc Martens)...) along with interesting dessert - fromage frais with frozen raspberries and baby cherry tomatoes! Then we watched Pulp Fiction and fell asleep - another great evening!
Today I feel like a tenderised piece of meat.

Currently enjoying a healthy brunch, a hummus turkey bagel with salad, peppers, chili and cucumber along with organic rasperry yogurt with kiwi and pistachio nuts thrown into it - feeling good!
And at last I'm sticking to my study schedule!

Why Must the Weather be Great Every Day?

Sunnn. Annoying when you have to sit inside studying feeling a little sick. Back to the books!

Long Live Sunday

Ready for sleep: in vintage tops, Filippa K jeans and mum's gold and precious stone necklace.

Had an amazing long Sunday that started off with the fantastic Kirsty, going to the Ice Cream Parlour - of course we had their home made soup of the day! Then we carried on with sharing a haggis cheese panini, and finally settled for take away cakes and ice cream since the guy was startled by the amount of food we were devouring and wanted to close up soon enough. We went for a lovely walk in the park. Then we had a pint at the beloved Speedwell Pub where they always have a good ale on tap plus the bartender is hot!!! Plan is to go there more often..
Then Kirsty and I parted, she was off to be good and study, whilst I was off to be bad and have pints with the band at Laings.

Laings was good! Good ale, they had the Belhaven 'people ale' on tap! Gav, Paul and Chris were all happy and chappy, we were having a good time discussing the future of the band. Then we went off to Wetherspoon's because I convinced hungry Paul into going by using their Reggae Reggae nachos as bait (AMAZING). After a pint or two went to beloved Chambers were Mr. Smart was doing a bunch of great acoustic covers, he asked for a break so Chris went up did three songs, then we did the "Rest is Silence" promoting Kings and Cowards. We were encouraged to finish off Smart's set, so we did this with "Dust in the Wind" and Gaga's "Bad Romance". We were well received and ended up getting contacted by a music PR guy for some of the major venues in Dundee, who now has our details.
The best impromptu promotional gig ever in other words!

Goodnight! Tomorrow my strict study schedule begins.
Photos from today and Saturday will be up in the related blog posts tomorrow
